Hello my dear ones,
Today I read a fascinating article that truly made me pause and reflect deeply. The headline was simply stated as: „15 reasons why religious people often live longer.“
Completely regardless of which specific religion you belong to, or if you simply believe deeply in nature or in life itself – the core message of this text is medically and psychologically absolutely fascinating. People who are firmly rooted in a deep faith or fundamental trust not only live longer, they also often live much healthier lives. But why exactly is that the case?
Trust as a Soothing Balm for the Nervous System
If we believe that we have to control and fight for every single, tiny aspect of our lives ourselves, our body is placed under constant stress. The nervous system is permanently stuck in absolute survival mode.
But whoever carries a deep, primal trust within themselves – the knowledge that things will eventually fall into place, even if we do not understand them right now –, can truly let go. This letting go lowers blood pressure, reduces stress hormones and completely strengthens the immune system. It is the ultimate switch for true inner peace.
Faith and Our Own Biology
For me, this thought is inextricably linked to our stubborn serenity here at JULION CENDARA. We must not only cultivate this serenity in our minds, we can also learn it entirely through our own physical bodies.
Just think about your feet for a moment: When we force them into tight, artificial shoes, we unconsciously signal constriction and stress to our bodies. We do not trust our own, natural biology to carry us safely through life. But when we rely on renewable resources and give the foot back its natural shape and freedom, we feel the ground again. We ground ourselves. And it is precisely through this grounding that a physical primal trust arises, which transfers directly to our minds.
What Do You Believe In?
Faith does not necessarily mean that you have to go to church every single Sunday. It can be the deep belief in the healing power of plants, the trust in your own inner strength, or the knowledge that nature always finds a way.
A strong foundation – both physically and mentally – gives us the ultimate freedom to face the storms of life with complete calmness.
What gives you support and trust in turbulent times? Is it a certain faith, the silence in nature, or a very personal daily ritual? Please feel free to share your wonderful thoughts in the forum, I am very excited to read your answers!
All the best,
Yours Jutta Arntz
